Layers upon layers, asymmetrical cuts, fraying, draping, interesting sculptural dimensions, unique textiles are all details that I tend to gravitate to. I have always been drawn to avant-garde fashion in the same way I have always been intrigued by fashions that pushes the status quo. It was avant-garde fashion that showed another side to fashion that I found comfort in for my love of over-sized sartorial choices that is not always feminine but more-so artfully styled as well, such as this look.
This boxy over-sized tee has layered fabrics that mimics the petals of a flower adding a slight feminine touch while this denim asymmetrical tiered skirt with horizontal and vertical fading lines adds a bit of chic. Still unshapely and disproportionate yet still cool in it's juxtaposition and pairing. To play down the avant-garde feel to make it more wearable and practical, the functionality of a sneaker in a black feels grounded with a denim jacket for a street-style edge.
