It's always great when you find an article of clothing that has the ability to excite you to the point you have an instant emotional reaction that makes you want to scream for joy. At least this is the reaction I have when I find something that I absolutely love. And it's when this happens that I know that a piece must be mine. This can be said about these khaki paperbag culotte pants. I found this pant via indie brand and online retailer Genuine People. After learning about GP through one of my other favorite sites, Business of Fashion, in an article about traditional and fast fashion retailers catering to aesthetic I became intrigued.
Not only does this three year old brand have a cool name but has a cool fresh take on fashion. Unlike creating pieces at a fast rate at a lower price point (fast fashion) manufacturing at factories at higher quantities, it's the business moto of Genuine People that's giving it the rep indie fast fashion. Genuine People is dedicated to curating surprising pieces that are uniquely bold from a vast list of independent designers maintaining quality at an attainable price point in smaller quantities. Quite different from the structure of the world of fast fashion manufacturing. Genuine People is giving the savvy fashion minded girl and woman another option to staying on trend while maintaining her individual voice.
